Boondox, a play on the term boondocks, is a town that you can give donations to in Animal Crossing Wild World. They are supposedly a poor town where people live in dirt huts. Once you donate enough money, you are given a feather hat to wear, and if you donate enough, the people of the town will become the city of Boondopolis.

10,000 Bells - A Green Feather
200,000 Bells - A Blue Feather
500,000 Bells - A Yellow Feather
800,000 Bells - A Red Feather
1,100,000 Bells - A Purple Feather
1,400,000 Bells - A White Feather
6,400,000 Bells - A Rainbow Feather
15,000,000 Bells - Boondox becomes Boondopolis
Due to the huge gaps between feathers, many view this as worthless for paying millions of bells for a hat. While some view them as ultimate status symbols. It is up to you how much you choose to donate, if at all. I have only gotten the green feather currently.
